About This Hybrid EMT Training Course
This hybrid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course combines flexible online education with an in-person EMS Skills Academy to prepare you for EMT certification and real-world patient care. Complete your didactic education online, then build and demonstrate hands-on skills during an instructor-led skills week. The curriculum covers the EMT education and skill requirements established by the National EMS Education Standards and prepares you to continue through the certification process. EMT education builds the knowledge, clinical judgment, and practical skills needed to assess patients, provide basic emergency care, and support safe medical transportation.

Looking for a flexible way to become an Emergency Medical Technician while still getting hands-on, in-person training?
EMTs play a central role in the EMS system by assessing patients, providing basic emergency medical care, and transporting patients to appropriate healthcare facilities. EMTs may work on ambulances alongside advanced providers or serve as the primary level of care during transport, depending on the EMS system and patient needs.
This initial EMT training course builds your foundation in patient assessment, airway and respiratory care, medical emergencies, trauma care, shock and resuscitation, pharmacology, special populations, and EMS operations.
After successfully completing the Impact EMS Training EMT course, you’ll be eligible to continue through the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification process. National Registry certification is an important step toward becoming an EMT. State licensing or certification requirements may vary depending on where you plan to practice.

Patient Asessment

EMS Operations
Develop an understanding of ambulance and transport operations, vehicle extrication, rescue situations, incident management, and other operational challenges EMTs may encounter while providing emergency medical care.Great course. The online resources were extremely well organized and helpful for self-motivated learners. Quizzes at the end of each chapter helped designate your areas of weakness. Easily the best, most comprehensive training I’ve received anywhere in the world. Learned so much in a short space of time, but also gained the confidence to use it. Still, use some of the instructor’s ways of explaining some techniques to help new medics.
This was a great program. I took the online EMT course and passed the August Skills Week for the first time. I passed the EMT National Registry written test a few days after returning from Skills Week. The program requires hard work and dedication, (as it should given the subject matter), but I would highly recommend it. I learned much more than those taking the EMT course offered by the county where I am a volunteer firefighter. Many people I know are struggling with the National Registry exam, but I felt very well prepared. The instructors were great and the facilities at Post Falls were very good. The food, atmosphere, and friends I made were all terrific. I plan to take EMT refreshers and additional training through this company.
