This Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course combines flexible online education with an in-person EMS Skills Academy to prepare experienced EMTs for AEMT certification and expanded patient care responsibilities. Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians build on the EMT foundation with expanded clinical skills and treatment capabilities. AEMTs receive additional training in advanced patient assessment, airway management, vascular access, medication administration, and the treatment of medical and traumatic emergencies.
This initial AEMT training course helps experienced EMTs strengthen clinical decision-making while developing the knowledge and hands-on skills required to care for higher-acuity patients in the prehospital environment.
After successfully completing the Impact EMS Training AEMT course, you’ll be eligible to continue through the National Registry Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (NRAEMT) certification process. National Registry certification is an important step toward becoming an AEMT. State licensing or certification requirements and authorized scope of practice may vary depending on where you plan to practice.
